This article examines the Boxer rebellion in China in 1900. The author details the expansion of Christianity in the late 1800s and the reasons for the tensions between Christians and non-Christians. The formation and rise of the Boxers as an anti-Christian movement in 1898 is also detailed and the reasons behind the rebellion are analysed
