Tubeculosis is the second largest infectious disease killer. Last year Tuberculosis killed nearly 2 million people, closely following HIV/AIDS deaths.
Developing better more accessible and affordable diagnostics and therapeutics are urgently needed to reduce TB mortality and morbidity. Limiting the ongoing disease transmission is key to controlling this disease worldwide.
