Bingata

Ryukyu Bingata ( Ryukyu Bingata ) is present in about 15 century , to incorporate various techniques in trade with Southeast Asia , It is a traditional craft that symbolizes the Ryukyu kingdom began to develop. 

Dying and Weaving

Produced in Naha City, Tamagusukumura, Tomigusukumura Shimajirigun, Okinawa Prefecture. A dyeing process producing the designs of birds, or moon with brilliant colors peculiar to a tropical atmosphere. "Bin(vermilion) gate" is a design dyed with some shades of indigo. In addition, there are paper pattern dyeing and cylinder dyeing("Tsutsugaki Zome").

Bingata is an Okinawan traditional resist dyed cloth, made using stencils and other methods. It is generally brightly colored and features various patterns, usually depicting natural subjects such as fish, water, and flowers. Bingata is worn during traditional Ryukyu arts performances and historical reenactments.
