JDRF is the leading global organisation funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. We are built on a grassroots model of people connecting in their local communities, collaborating regionally for efficiency and broader fundraising impact, and uniting on an international stage to pool resources, passion and energy.
Diabetes Australia is a respected and valued source of information, advice and views utilised by government and the community. Our credibility and independence as a national voice allows us to translate knowledge and evidence into advocacy and programs for diabetes.
The purpose of this document is to provide the incoming Australian government, after the 2013 federal election, with a clear framework for a new national strategy for diabetes and a five year action plan.
